Digressing About Music

When I was young my dad used to record me on VHS tapes while I sang and danced to his all time favourite songs. So when I hear any songs from Camilo Sesto, Buddy Richard, Nino Bravo I get an immense sensation of nostalgia.
While I was growing up I was really close with my older brothers. With Gabriel (the oldest one) we shared the passion for the great Michael Jackson. With Miguel (the not so old but older than me) we shared much more time together so I developed a huge liking for the music he listened to. Obviously he did not share my father's or my other brother taste in music. He listened to Metallica, Angra, Stratovarius, and my favourite Dream Theater.

I personally enjoy pretty much any kind of music. That's why I don't have any issues on listening to music with anyone. I usually enjoy listening to 70's or 80's music, or artists like Ed Sheeran and Adele. On the other hand I really enjoy classical music, especially whenever I'm reading or drawing.
I don't play any instruments, although I wish I could. I tried so many times to learn how to play the guitar but I just couldn't. I guess that is why I admire my brother Miguel so much, he plays the guitar and the bass.

The Jonas Brothers were also an important part of my childhood and I still listen to their songs. Me and my best friend have a playlist of old songs we play while we play some videogames.

Some movies have soundtracks that are just amazing, The Lord Of The Rings, Harry Potter, Star Wars.
Sometimes I too like to listen to some of my favourite videogames soundtracks. Games like God Of War, The Last Of Us and Assassin's Creed have music that is just amazing and incredible.

Our Amazing Human Body... The Eyes

Everyday we encounter with strangers and look at them without knowing what is going through their heads, but if we stop for a moment and look closely to their eyes you can know what someone is feeling.

The eyes are the organ that allow us to see what and who surrounds us, they allow to see amazing colours and figures. They are located on our heads above the nose and their size is about 24 mm in diameter. They have different colours, my favourites being blue and brown.

Many things can alter the normal function of the eyes. We normally loose our sight in accidents by hurting them with pointy things, when dust or dangerous liquids come in contact with them.

But also some diseases can affect our sight, some can be less aggressive than others. Myopia, this occurs when the eyeball is too long which doesn't allow us to see clearly things that are far from us. Astigmatism is when the eyeball has troubles focusing at any distance. Cataract which decreases vision by clouding you sight, Glaucoma results in damage to the optic nerve and vision loss.

Some diseases affect the eye indirectly, like the Bell's Palsy condition, this causes paralysis on one side of the face, as this affect blinking it can cause several dry eye. Diabetes, and Hypertension, this diseases affect  the entire body.

The usual recommendations to keep our eyes healthy are not touching them  with our hands dirty, not forcing them to focus on close or far objects for too long, not eating junk food in excess because the accumulation of sugar and body fat can carry on to diseases that kill certain organs including the eyeballs.
The eyes allow us to see such amazing things, let's take care of them or we will pay an enormous price.

Best Holidays Ever

I have many memories about nice holidays. There are two that I can say are my favourite.

One is the summer of 2014, me and my parents went to Coquimbo and La Serena, it was not our first time there but it was the first time that my older brother went with us. We where there for a whole week and did plenty of things, such as going to the beach almost every day, eating a lot of sea food and walking round the city. I hold this memory very dear because we also visited my other brother who lives there, we only visit each other like twice a year, so the fact that my whole family was together for the first time in a long time made that week very memorable.

And the second holiday I liked very much was the summer of 2012. My best friend and her family had invited me to go to their house on Pichilemu. Obviously this was very overwhelming for me because I've never been on a holiday without my parents. The fact of being able to go to a place with my friend for a whole week was very exciting. We went to the beach that was only a block away from her house, we played cards, told horror stories, talk about the future and what we would do with our lifes. What made that holiday so special is the fact that she now lives in Canada so I don't get to see her very often. At least I have good memories to remember her.

I would not be able to choose between both of them. They're both special for different reasons. And I'd love to repeat them any time.
